Piping
What velocity should I use?
1.5–3 m/s for water, 25–35 m/s for saturated steam, 6–10 m/s for compressed air.
ERW or seamless?
Seamless for high-pressure, high-temperature or critical service; ERW is acceptable for water and low-pressure utilities.
When is IBR needed?
For steam piping covered under the Indian Boiler Regulations.
