Three-phase cable

Current is I = kW × 1,000 / (√3 × volts × power factor). The size is the larger of the ampacity and the voltage-drop result. IS 732, with the capacity table this desk already uses from IS 3961 / IS 7098.

Power factor must sit between 0.5 and 1. The default drop limit is 5 percent. A cable that carries the amps but drops too much voltage is still too small.

Current from I = kW × 1000 / (√3 × V × pf). Size is the larger of IS 3961 / IS 7098 capacity and voltage drop. IS 732.

174 A. 95 mm² aluminium. Voltage drop 1.31% over 50 m, limit 5%.
